I have never witnessed something in my entire life that kept me so interested within a roller coaster of socio-economic company history and tax evasion schemes that really boiled down to the greatest personal conclusion of this man’s day.
No holy shit this is the greatest video ever seen in existence
The more he went on the more intriguing he became. And then by the end, I realized it really was the best video ever made.
i am the best poster on this terrible website
i will always reblog grillquest
he knows too much, someone’s gonna take him out
dont say that. i pray to god each and every day that my sausage knowledge does not require neutralization
He is more than likely right about the marketing ploy and the reasons for it, however, I have attempted to verify his facts. Johnsonville is in fact an American registered, privately owned, limited liability corporation housed in Sheboygan Falls Wisconsin, with publicly available tax information. It is one of, if not the, largest sausage maker in the United States. There are several Bloomberg registered companies with the word “excelsior” in the name, the only one named simply “Excelsior” is not housed in the Bahamas, but in Bangladesh. The only other company with a significant presence with the name “Excelsior” in the title is a Texas-based corporation, American/Western Excelsior, specializing in the manufacturing of foam and the use of wood pulps and other cellulose in making substrates for various land erosion applications.
The only scandal I can find any information of with regards to Johnsonville, is that they recently recalled about 90,000 pounds of sausage because the sausage contained pieces of metal, likely from a piece of machinery in the manufacturing plant. It had nothing to do with the military, but it was widely reported on at the time.
I don’t know how or where he got this information.
I have no agenda in fact-checking him, except that I do not routinely believe things I hear without fact-checking them. A habit born of necessity, as I am a customer of this company and others like it.
I think we might be able to figure out one more scandal for johnsonville if we tried
